abstract = "This paper proposes a monitoring and supervision of vegetation
cover the state of Goi{\'a}s, using Geoprocessing techniques. The
methodology integrated with the monitoring information base of
forest licensing procedures of the Secretaria de Meio Ambiente e
Recursos H{\'{\i}}dricos de Goi{\'a}s Semarh-GO (Department of
Environment and Water Resources Management of Goi{\'a}s). For the
evaluation were considered forest licenses the years 2008 to 2011,
comparing with the volume of deforestation identified by federal
agencies such as the Minist{\'e}rio do Meio Ambiente MMA
(Environment Ministry), determined by techniques Digital Image
Processing and visual interpretation. With the validation of the
deforestation perimeters, accounted for the total ascertained in
the county with their forestry licenses. The data resulting from
the intersections of the data provided the regions with the
highest inadequacies. Through statistical analysis and
confrontation with the respective licensing, to discriminate the
20 municipalities with the highest volume of deforestation
licensed and the 20 municipalities with higher deforestation
polygons identified. Licensing procedures formalized in Semarh-GO,
concerning vegetal suppression, provide the perimeter of the
property and the deforestation area required. The processes
related to vegetal suppression area and time interval were
included in a stipulated Cartographic Base, allowing dimensioning
and spatial understanding more precisely the licensed properties,
and it was possible to detect large amount of irregular
enterprises. After categorization of illegal activities were
available cartographic products for the review which made the
investigation of environmental damage and their assessments. The
proposal proved efficient in detecting deforestation, maximizing
and facilitating field operations.",
